Terms of Service

Last updated 3 September 2026

These terms cover two things: using this website, and engaging Vula Systems for work. Where a signed quote or agreement for a specific project says something different, that document wins.

1. Prices on this site

The package prices shown here are our standard rates, published so you can budget without having to ask. They are an invitation to discuss work, not a binding offer. The price for your project is the one in the written quote we send you.

Prices are shown in South African rand and US dollars. These are two separate price lists for two markets, not currency conversions of each other. Amounts exclude any tax that may apply unless the quote says otherwise.

2. How an engagement works

We agree the scope in writing before work starts. The quote sets out what is included, what it costs, the timeline, how many rounds of revision the price covers, and the payment schedule. Anything outside that scope is quoted separately before we do it — you will not receive a surprise invoice.

3. What we need from you

Projects run on your input: brand material, copy, product information, and timely feedback at the review points. Delays in providing these move the delivery date.

When you send us material — logos, photographs, text, fonts — you confirm you have the right to use it and to let us use it for your project. We are not able to verify the licensing of material supplied to us, and we rely on that confirmation.

4. Ownership of the work

Ownership of the final delivered work passes to you once the project is paid in full. Until then it remains ours.

Concepts and drafts we produced but which you did not select stay ours. So do the underlying tools, templates and working methods we use across clients — you own your brand, not our workshop.

Third-party assets that carry their own licence — typefaces and stock imagery in particular — are licensed to you on those owners' terms, not transferred by us. We will tell you when a deliverable depends on one.

5. Showing the work

We would like to show completed work in our portfolio and on social media. If you would rather we did not, tell us and we will not — during the project or at any point afterwards. Unreleased work is never shown before you have launched it.

6. AI-assisted production

We use AI-assisted workflows as part of how we work, which is part of how the pricing stays where it is. What that means in practice, and what we commit to, is set out on the AI Ethics page. Those commitments form part of these terms.

7. This website

The content here is provided for information. We keep it accurate and current as best we can, but we do not promise the site will always be available or error-free, and published prices can change.

The text, design and code of this site belong to Vula Systems. Please do not copy them for your own use.

8. Liability

We take responsibility for doing the work we agreed to a professional standard. Beyond that, our liability for any project is limited to the amount you paid us for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profit or lost business.

Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act where it applies to you.

9. If something goes wrong

Tell us first. Most problems are a conversation, not a dispute. If we genuinely cannot resolve it between us, these terms are governed by South African law and the South African courts have jurisdiction.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your project is the one in force when the quote was accepted. The "last updated" date above tracks changes here.
